We have mentioned before the concept
of dhimmitude--the governing of non-believers under Islamic law--most
recently here.
Now Diana West has written an op ed for the Washington Times,
utilizing the concept to discern the meaning of the actions and
reactions behind the cartoon riots. Her conclusion is " The extremely distressing but highly significant fact
is, dhimmitude doesn't only exist in lands where Islamic law rules.
