It was mentioned in my Sunday School class this week that the church seldom teaches about Satan much these days.  Wesley Blog has also noticed the same thing.
No one says much about the devil these days. Nor do we hear much on the subject of demons. It's not that United Methodists don't believe they exist, it's just that no one really wants to talk about them. I guess I'm the exception, because this topic has been somewhat of a specialty area of mine for years now. I haven't written a lot about it before now because most Methodists come unglued when I start teaching on the topic. . . .
